If you’re like many pet owners, having an animal companion is about more than just providing food and shelter; it’s about having a member of your family who depends on you for their health and well being. When it comes to finding a veterinarian, many people are hesitant to choose the first doctor they find. They want someone who understands “dog” or “cat” as well as a medical professional who will treat their pet with the same kind of love, care, and compassion as a loving parent does. For these reasons, most pet owners in the community rely on All Creatures Veterinary Care for their veterinary needs. No matter what type of procedure or service you are looking for – a simple vaccination or an issue requiring multiple medical assessments – having a veterinarian you can trust gives you peace of mind and improves the quality of life (and overall experience) for yourself and your pet.
Here in this blog we provide you the information about why pet owners choose all creatures veterinary care.
A Comprehensive Approach to Pet Wellness
Families stay with us for many reasons, but one of the biggest is our “one roof” philosophy. We understand that pets may be stressed when they visit a new environment, and they can be especially anxious during their time here if they are feeling unwell. We do everything possible to reduce the stress on both the pet and the owner by offering multiple pet services in one comfortable environment.
Our core services include:
- Preventative Wellness Exams – We believe that “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” and conducting regular biannual exams helps us identify minor changes in your pet’s health before they become major health issues.
- Advanced Diagnostics – We have in-house diagnostic tools such as digital radiology and ultrasound that enable us to obtain answers much more quickly than if we had to wait for outside laboratories, allowing us to begin treating your pet as soon as we have a diagnosis.
- Dental Health – Clean teeth are important to the overall health of your pet, so we provide professional cleanings and oral surgery to keep your pet on the right side of healthy and maintain happy tails and fresh breath.
Specialized Care for “All Creatures”
It’s not just a fun name; It is who we are! There are many vet clinics that only see cats and dogs but at Vet’s Best Friend, we recognize Family can take many forms! Our Veterinary Staff will provide your furry Family Members with the expert care, that each Family Member deserves, whether it has four legs or no legs, and whether it has fur or feathers.
Our experts have developed methods of providing superior care to your Pets based on their life stages, through the development of our Senior Pet Care Programs! These programs provide the necessary tools to allow your senior Pet to continue to live a comfortable lifestyle for as long as they can. Some aspects of these programs include Mobility Support, Pain Management, and Organ Health.
Why Transparency Matters to Us
Veterinary costs can be one of the biggest stressors of being an animal owner. Therefore, we work to provide as much clarity in communication as possible, up front. Prior to any procedure we will review the different options for treatment and assist you in deciding what option will work best for both your pet and your budget.
We know that owners appreciate our emphasis on owner education as well. Rather than just treating the pet and sending the owner on their way, we provide explanations as to ‘why’ we recommend certain treatments. Whether it be regarding nutrition or helping provide behavioral suggestions, we want to make certain that an owner is as educated as they can be about their pet when they are not visiting the veterinarian.
The “Family First” Atmosphere
Beyond the medical care we provide, the environment that you experience while you are here is what will set us apart from others. Our team members are not only hired based on their medical skills, they are also hired based on their love for animals. There will be many times when you will hear our technicians tell their patients about different situations or give “scritches” behind the ears to calm an anxious little kitten. Our philosophy is to treat each patient as if it were our own pet, and the emotional bond that we create together is the basis for the community trust we have been able to establish.
Your Partner in Health
As far as everything goes, a great veterinarian should be an advocate for your pet from beginning to end. They will provide you with the support and guidance you need to help your pet throughout their life from the time they get their very first vaccinations as a puppy or kitten until they require specialized care later in their lives. We want you to turn to us when you need honest advice on pet-related issues, the appropriate medical treatment for your pet, and a friendly face in times of need.
If you have been looking for a veterinary practice that makes your pet’s health and well being the most important thing there can be, we invite you to come and see what a positive difference it can be when you receive personalized service. We want you and your pet to know that All Creatures Veterinary Center is the best place for expert veterinarians and a warm welcoming environment because we treat each animal as a valued member of our family, deserving of dignity and respect.
FAQs
What should I actually expect during my first visit?
We’re happy to have you at All Creatures Veterinary Center. The reception staff are waiting for your arrival. After being welcomed into our centre, you will have a full “head-to-tail” examination conducted by our vet. As the vet examines your pet, you will also have an opportunity to ask any and all of those questions that you have been researching (i.e.; what types of foods are best for your cat/dog, how should I train my pet, etc).
Do you only see dogs and cats, or can I bring my ‘unusual’ pet?
Our name gives you an idea of what we do! Yes, we love working with both playful pups and curious cats, but we also love working with all kinds of critters, including those shown below. Whether you have a rabbit, guinea pig, bird, or reptile, our team has experience treating those species and understands the special requirements associated with each one.
We work very hard to ensure that every species receives the appropriate care based on its biological characteristics, and therefore we treat “exotic” animals differently than we treat cats and dogs.
How do you handle pets that get really anxious at the vet?
We completely understand that the veterinarian’s office is a weird and frightening place with all the newly discovered scents and noises. Our team has trained in low-stress handling methods to help you feel at ease. We’ll move at a slow pace, use lots of yummy treats (as acceptable on their food plan), and will work on creating a calm, inviting atmosphere for you and your pet. If your pet gets very nervous, please inform us at the time you make your appointment! We can offer animal therapy (“happy visits”) or we can arrange for you to visit us when it’s less busy.
What happens if my pet has an emergency after you’ve closed?
A health scare at midnight can be frightening. We have regular business hours for routine appointments and surgeries, but we also work with multiple 24 hour emergency facilities so you can find one quickly if you call us after hours. Our voicemail directs you to the nearest 24 hour facility so your pet can get immediate care as needed.
