Chemotherapy is a treatment option that can be used alone or in combination with other modalities to treat cancer and malignant tumors. Just as in human medicine, this therapy works by attacking cells in the process of growth and division, preventing the cancerous cells from spreading. When used to treat a tumor, chemotherapy also helps shrink the tumor and/or slow its growth.

Class IV Laser Therapy

Class IV laser therapy is a non-invasive, drug- and surgery-free therapy option that uses laser energy for pain management and the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. It can also be used to reduce inflammation and increase blood flow to accelerate the healing process for a number of conditions. These include muscle and joint pain, arthritis symptoms, and muscle spasms.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy

PRP therapy is a cutting edge technology in which platelet-rich plasma is used to treat orthopedic injuries. First, we draw blood from an animal and run it through a machine (centrifuge) that separates its components by density. This process allows dead and injured cells to be eliminated from the injured area. It also allows growth factors (cytokins) to be released to regenerate tissue. We use PRP therapy to treat tendon, muscle, ligament, and joint injuries.

Rehabilitative Medicine

All Creatures Veterinary Center provides our patients a variety of rehabilitation plans tailored to meet your pet’s specific needs. Our qualified rehabilitation doctors and technicians have undergone additional specialized training by the Canine Rehabilitation Institute. They use a variety of techniques to help your pet recover from surgery or trauma, ease the pain of aging and arthritis, promote normal musculoskeletal movement, strengthen and build musculature, and even aid in weight loss. These techniques include manual therapies and exercises, UWTM (underwater treadmill), laser therapy, and EMS (electrical muscle stimulation). Our rehabilitation staff can also tailor conditioning, weight loss, and nutritional plans based on your pet’s individual needs.

Stem Cell Therapy

Stem cell therapy involves using your pet’s stem cells from its own fat to treat and/or prevent a certain health condition by enabling the body to repair and regenerate damaged or diseased tissue. This therapy method has proven to be effective in treating mild to severe arthritis in dogs, and improving their quality of life.
